DAY 1: MANILA - MADRID
Depart Manila for an overnight flight to Madrid.
DAY 2: MADRID
Upon arrival at Madrid, meet and greet then transfer and check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Madrid.
DAY 3: MADRID (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, go on a half day city sightseeing tour of this beautiful city and see the Puerta Del Sol, Gran Via, Cibeles Fountain, Alcala Gate, the Santiago Bernabeau Stadium, Plaza De Espana, Prado Museum, Almudena Cathedral, highlighted by a visit to the Royal Palace. The rest of the day is free for shopping. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 4: MADRID - AVILA - FATIMA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, drive to Avila – completely encircled by 11th century walls and birthplace of St. Theresa and visit the Convent of St. Theresa and the Cathedral. Continue cross border to Portugal, proceed to Fatima and check in hotel. Overnight at hotel in Fatima.
DAY 5: FATIMA - LISBON - FATIMA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon – see the Tagus River, Marques de Pombal Square, Liberdade Avenue, pass by Belem Palace, official residence of the President of Portugal. Stop at Belem Tower – icon of the Age of Discovery, and the Monument of the Discoveries. Close by is Jeronimos Monastery, magnificent example of the Manueline style. See the Baixa, Praca De Commercio and the Suspension Bridge, and visit to the Church of St. Antony De Padua. Return to Fatima for some free time for private devotion. You may explore the Sanctuary and the Great White Basilica and maybe join the candlelight procession in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 6: FATIMA - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Santiago de Compostela – a World heritage city. Upon arrival, proceed to guided city tour with visit to Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. Orientation tour includes Plaza del Obradoiro, Monasterio de San Martin Pinario, Convento de San Francisco, Fuente De Los Caballos and the Palacio de Raxoi. Overnight at hotel in Santiago de COmpostela.
DAY 7: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - BURGOS (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Long drive to Burgos, the provincial capital in Spain’s autonomous community of Castile and León. Its most recognizable landmark is the French Gothic Cathedral of St. Mary, whose 3 main doorways are flanked by ornamented bell towers. In-side is the Chapel of Condestable, decorated with figures of saints, and the Tomb of El Cid (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar), the 11th century military commander, then visit the Burgos Gothic Cathedral. DAY 8: BURGOS - ZARAGOZA - LOURDES (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Lourdes with stop in Zaragoza to visit the Shrine of the Basilica of Our Lady Of Pillar, considered the Patroness of the country and the Spanish Civil Guard. Afterwards, cross the border of France on your way to Lourdes – a major pilgrimage site in Europe. Check in to your hotel.
DAY 9: LOURDES (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. The day is free for private devotion. You may wish to go to the Sanctuary to visit the Underground Basilica, walk the Station of the Cross, take the Holy Bath, or participate in the Veneration of the Sick Pilgrim. Tonight, why not join the emotive candlelight procession.
DAY 10: LOURDES - BARCELONA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Return to Spain on your way to Barcelona. Overnight at hotel in Barcelona.
DAY 11: BARCELONA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning guided visit to the Montserrat Monastery to see the famous 12th cen-tury Romanesque carving of Virgin Moreneta, the Black Virgin. Afterwards, see the Plaza Espana, Plaza Real, Plaza Catalunya, Olympic Stadium, Christopher Columbus Monument, Arch of Triumph and photostop at La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Barcelona’s most famous landmark and Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE FROM BARCELONA (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your return flight.
